Hello.

The Orlando Sentinel publishes a list of the "Top 100 Companies for
Working Families." The 2001 rankings are available on the Orlando
Sentinel web site.

Here is the survey's list of the top 25 employers:
http://tribuneinteractive.net/orlandosentinel/top100/top25.shtml

Here are the top 100, listed in alphabetical order:
http://tribuneinteractive.net/orlandosentinel/top100/top100.shtml

The rankings are based on such factors as insurance benefits,
company-wide established flextime programs, job sharing programs,
telecommuting, parental leave, sick-leave bank, and numerous other
benefits. Take a look at the 2002 entry form for an idea of the
criteria that the judges are using:

They also have specialty awards such as "Corporate Champion of the
Year," which went to First USA, partly due to its policies of
"flexible schedules and compressed workweeks, ... telecommuting for
non-phone workers and job sharing."

The 2002 rankings will be out in about a month. According to the web
site, "The Top 100 Companies for Working Families, The Top 25
Companies and all five Specialty Awards will be named at an awards
luncheon and will publish in the Sunday, August 4, 2002 edition of the
Orlando Sentinel's Florida magazine. Companies will also be recognized
at an awards luncheon being held on Wednesday, August 1, 2002 at the
Renaissance Orlando Resort."

Working Mother magazine has an annual report on the "100 Best
Companies for Working Companies." While there is only one listed
headquartered in Florida (Baptist Health Systems), there may be others
on the list that have offices in Central Florida. For example, I know
that Johnson & Johnson has locations in Florida. Might be worth
looking into:
