NICEIC regulations in UK state that any modifications or changes to an
electrical installation must be tested during and after said works. I
am looking for a set, or, sets of completed certificates to guide me
through the the completion of these forms, and comparative test result
figures, to ensure the figures I have obtained are accurate.

jlp-ga,

The best solution for you is probably to use a software package that
generates the forms for you. One impressive product for the home user
is Fast Test Domestic for £95 from Amtech. Amtech is definitely
current with their 16th Edition Test & Inspection Software

http://www.amtech-sys.co.uk/fasttest.htm

From the pricing page (link below)

"NICEIC Endorsed 16th Edition Test & Domestic Installation Software
(produces ECA, NICEIC & Standard certificates for Domestic
Installation, Minor Electrical Works & Fire Detection System)"

http://www.amtech-sys.co.uk/prices.htm

Another interesting site is the Electricians Guide to the 16th edition
IEE Regulations. The site contains extracts from Extracted from "The
Electricians Guide Fifth Edition" by John Whitfield, which can be
purchased for £12.95. Whitfield writes about his book:

"Certainly, every electrician who does not have the advantage of
expert design advice should equip himself with the complete
Regulations and with the associated guides. However, it is the belief
of the Author that this Electrician's Guide will help the average
electrician to understand, and to implement, these very complicated
Regulations in the safest and most cost-effective way possible."

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/8.8.1.htm

Appendix 6 of Requirements for Electrical Installations has been
modified to include model forms for `Schedule of Inspections' and a
model `Schedule of Test Results', so if you have an older copy, you
might want to update to the latest version. This information was found
in the NICEIC newsletter supplement from June 2001 at:

www.niceic.org.uk/downloads/NL138supp.pdf

Finally, the book you want if you don't have it yet is "The third
edition of the NICEIC Inspection, Testing and Certification Book" for
£25 about which NICEIC writes

"The book is extremely popular as it provides contractors with
practical advice on the inspection and testing of installations, and
offers guidance on the completion of the four key NICEIC forms of
certification."

Thank you for your prompt response but all of the options only produce
blank certificates which I have.I also own several of the books
listed.
My specific requirement is for examples of completed certificates with
details and figures

Thanks jkp-ga

My apologies. The information I found, both the sites I listed and
many others that were similar, all gave the impression that the
problem most people faced was generating a "fill-in-the-blanks" form
from the large set of regulations. That's the reason I led off with
the Fast Test software package, since a NICEIC endorsed product should
hopefully perform some data and bounds checking, to make sure the form
is filled in properly. I'll take another look on the web for
certificates that have actually been filled in, but I'm not overly
optomistic. I wish our timing had been a little different, last Spring
Amtech gave away 20,000 copies of the Fast Test Domestic software,
according to

http://www.iee.org/oncomms/pn/betnet/wiring_matters_9.pdf

It does give me an idea though, which is you can call Amtech 01908
608833
08:30-17:00 Mon-Fri, and request their Demo CD, mentioned in the link
above. While I haven't seen the particular CD, if it follows the
standard formula for software demonstrations, it will surely include
completed example forms.

jlp-ga,

I gave it another shot on the "third time is the charm" theory, but it
didn't pan out. I even came across a company that sells their custom
locker room / shower facility with a partially completed IEE
certificate to make it easier on the installer, but no completely
filled out examples.

http://www.boydsport.co.uk/Suresport%20spec.htm

I can only speculate that due to the specificity or uniqueness of any
given job, nobody (with a web site) has thought it would be a useful
document to post. Either that, or it may have to do with customer
privacy.

The question was not answered. I was pointed to various publications,
most of which I have so I can only assume the question was too
sophisticated.
