I am looking for the number of SMS messages sent in the U.S. over any
period within the last year.  A valid answer might be something like
"xx million messages were sent in the first quarter of 2004."  By the
way, the correct answer is NOT nearly 2 billion.  That research is
erroneous.  Also, I'm not looking for SMS penetration or the number of
people who have used SMS; I'd really like to get a usage/volume
figure.
