lombardfan,
There's nothing I like better than finding old books at great prices,
and the Web is just the place to do it.
While the commenter found a copy of "Star Ghosts", it will cost you
$12.95 (plus shipping). I know we can do better than that and save you
some money.
A search on my favorite Web book engine -- ABEBooks.Com -- gives you
three choices for the same paperback edition of "Star Ghosts". These
range in price from $2.89 to $8.00 (plus shipping, of course). Here is
what ABEBooks found:
Title: "Star Ghosts"
Author: Hans Holzer
Publisher: Leisure Books, 1979
Type: Soft Cover
Source #1: Books Etc., Council Grove, Kansas
Condition: Good copy
Bookseller Inventory No.: 6784
Price: $2.89
Source #2: The Paperback Exchange, Port Richey, Florida
Condition: Fair - paperback; store stamp, edging, age discoloration,
creases, scrapes, chipping, staining.
Bookseller Inventory No.: 5429
Price: $5.50
Source #3: Vagabond Books*, Warriors Mark, Pennsylvania
Condition: Good 186 pages.
Bookseller Inventory No.: 8974
Price: $ 8.00
*Note that Vagabond Books is the same bookseller found in the
commenter's source, but they're selling the same title for less
through ABEBooks. It all depends who you know, I guess.
To see purchasing and shipping information for the three booksellers
found above, you need to go to ABEBooks and repeat the above title and
author search:

ABE's unedited search results give you an "Order Options" link that
provides all purchasing and shipping information for each bookseller.
Having purchased many books through ABEBooks myself, I would advise
you to email each bookseller first to (1) confirm that the book is in
stock, and (2) confirm the total price plus shipping.
Note that you pay *nothing* to use ABEBooks: all of your money goes
directly to the bookseller for the book you want.
If you can wait a few days to receive "Star Ghosts", have the
bookseller mail it to you via the U.S. Post Office's standard book
rate: it's the cheapest method, and the mail always gets through, come
rain or snow. They haven't lost a book of mine yet.
ABEBooks has a handy online mailing form so you don't even have to
open your own email application. They email a time-stamped copy of
your message to the bookseller, and a copy to you. After this initial
exchange, you and the bookseller email each other directly.
You can create your own free account on ABEBooks to make future book
searches even easier. See the "Book Buyers - Create your free account"
link on the left side of their home page:

I hope you enjoy your book! It's always a pleasure helping another

P.S. - If your nickname is any indication, you must be a fan of Carol
Lombard, the vivacious Hollywood star (and wife of Clark Gable). While
you're at ABEBooks, be sure to run a search on her name. And just in
case you're wondering, a Google search for "Carol Lombard" turns up
over 1,100 results:
