Greeting, researchers! I have Windows XP Home, with Internet Explorer 6. IE is insisting on hiding all but the most recently used Favorites. I cannot find the setting to rectify this. I want to see all Favorites. Thank you. |

Greetings, Nelson!... This setting is either on or off. There is no way to set the number of days that constitutes "recently used". In IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options, go to the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Browsing section, and uncheck 'Enable Personalized Favorites Menu'. Close all browser sessions (windows) and reopen IE. All your favorites will be visible. Researching this was unnecessary, since I was annoyed early on with this feature of IE6, and quickly found how to eliminate it. Please do not rate this answer until you are satisfied that the answer cannot be improved upon by way of a dialog established through the "Request for Clarification" process. sublime1-ga |

Thank you, sublime1. That was very helpful. (Do they really think people want this on be default? And the option to turn the "feature" off should be more clearly labelled, like in Excel.) |

Nelson... Thanks for the rating and the tip! I'm sure they thought, "default is okay since they can always turn it off", which made the programmer happy. I think a better name for the option would be 'Hide unused favorites'. Hopefully they'll correct this in a future update. sublime1-ga |

This tip was a life saver! Our technical support area told me this was happening because I was approaching 5MB of Favorites. I knew this was a bunch of bunk, but I just couldn't figure out where to find the answer. Thanks a million! |
