Where can I search for all English words with a particular number of
syllables and stress pattern? For example, suppose I wanted to find
all four-syllable words with primary stress on the first syllable and
secondary stress on the last; then the word "honestly" would come up,
or "happenstance", and so on.

Err, actually I miscounted syllables here, so modify "all
four-syllable words" to "all three-syllable words" and so forth.

rbnn,

Hello! Is there certian words you are looking for? Most word searches
are not by syllable/stresses, as the list would be immense. Is there
certain words we could find for you or? Any other information you have
would help us to better help you

I'm seeking double dactyls: six syllable words whose first and fourth
syllables are stressed.

My goodness :) I think it may be next to impossible to come up with a
list of ALL of them. Is their a certain number you'd like a reseacher
to find. You may wish to review the Google Answers pricing guidelines:

I'm not asking for the researcher to provide me a list of the words,
only of a way to generate them. For example, I was hoping that there
would be an electronically searchable list of English pronunciations
somewhere.

By the way I did look through several commercial dictionaries' product
sheets, like the American Heritage and some rhyming dictionary, and I
did see anything that seemed match this.

If someone finds a way to generate this list I'll tip generously.
