I'm looking for a university study that shows that when someone is in
a good mood, they are more motivated to accomplish things. I need the
name of the university, the year of the study, the researcher's name,
and any details you can supply. I need a response by late today (June
3, latest time 8 p.m. Eastern time USA.)

Actually, an answer by 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, would work.

Awww, I think I was being a bit too harsh on you - here's some help:

A resource, though not exactly scientific:
http://www.effectivemeetings.com/productivity/timemanagement/tipsandtricks.asp

A university study, very close to what you arelooking for - deals with
how people with lower self esteems have a harder time getting
motivated:
http://www.washington.edu/newsroom/news/2002archive/08-02archive/k080502.html

This one is not a university study, but relevant nevertheless:
http://www.hsa-lps.com/Performance_WS_2002_2.htm

A ppt presentation for a lecture given at Cornell - lots of relevant
studies you can look up:

http://instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/courses/psych102-summer2003/psych353/Lecture7.pdf

Also, the Limbic system of the brain affects both mood and motivation.
It only makes sense that if one is in a "bad" state, then the limbic
system as a whole is in a bad state.

More info on that here:

Good luck!
