Using Xcode, I have created an application in AppleScript Studio for Mac OS X. In Macintosh OS X an application icon is actually a kind of folder that contains a bundle of files. The user can see and examine the contents of a bundle by option-clicking on the application bundle and selecting "show package contents" from the pop-up menu. How does one make one or more of a bundle's files inaccessible so the user cannot examine the AppleScript code in the files? I have tried hiding the folder that contains the files with "mv Scripts .Scripts" in the Terminal application. I have also tried saving the AppleScript files as "run only." These attempts kept the application from running properly. Kindly frame the answer so it can be understood by someone with a beginners knowledge of programming. I have never taken a programming course and learned AppleScript as I went along writing my program. |
