Hi carrotrope,

Try Black Ink

From an article at the Bostonphoenix.com:

At Black Ink, you'll find enchantingly strange Japanese stuffed
animals similar to the gigantic-eyed toy owl Murray's Bob gave to
Johansson's Charlotte.

I can't quite answer the question, not at least until tomorrow. But
here's what the comments in this question and a previous one ("Lost in
Translation Stuffed Owl",
http://www.answer.google.com/answers/threadview?id=280678 ) have led
me to.

The owl from the movie is shown here.

This is apparently the same owl shown in this page.

This page links to:

"Louise ..."
Mon Seuil

(So the owl is named Louise!)

A page with the credits from Lost in Translation confirms that Mon
Seuil Co., Ltd. participated in "product support" for the film.

Now all that's left is to find the owl for sale. I will work on that tomorrow.

Did anyone ever track down this lovely owl? I've seen the Japanese
monseuil site but don't speak any Japanese so it makes it a little
hard! Has anyone got any closer?

:)
