There was a woman poet who taught at Arizona State University. She
was denied tenure, because she didn't have a Ph.D. She then won a
Pulitzer for Poetry and took a job at Harvard. What is her name?

Hi waddington,

Since I'm not certain this is the poet you are seeking, I am posting
this here for your clarification.

Could the poet be Jorie Graham, winner of the 1996 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry?

Please let me know if this is the one.

Best regards,
Rainbow

Are you perhaps thinking of Rita Dove? I believe that she was
actually tenured at Arizona State, and left after she won her Pulitzer
Prize in 1987. But she apparently didn't have a Ph.D. And she is on
a visiting committee at Harvard.
