Compose a list of lightly detailed examples of G.W. Bush "flip-flops".
Here are some starting points you could add to by giving a bit more
detail to each or do your own. Twelve to fifteen should be fine as long
as each are explained in enpough detail to the novice reader to make
an impression.

Around 500 words is good I suppose but more or less are fine as long as you
get the idea across. Please stick to events within the last 6 years.

For example:
Bush is against campaign finance reform; then he's for it.

Bush is against a Homeland Security Department; then he's for it.

Bush is against a 9/11 commission; then he's for it.

Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it.

Bush is against nation building; then he's for it.

Bush is against deficits; then he's for them.

Bush is for free trade; then he's for tariffs on steel; then he's
against them again.

Bush is against the U.S. taking a role in the Israeli Palestinian
conflict; then he pushes for a "road map" and a Palestinian State.

Bush is for states right to decide on gay marriage, then he is for
changing the constitution.

Bush first says he'll provide money for first responders (fire,
police, emergency), then he doesn't.

Bush first says that 'help is on the way' to the military ... then he cuts benefits

Bush-"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden.
Bush-"I don't know where he is. I have no idea and I really don't
care.

Bush claims to be in favor of the environment and then secretly starts
drilling on Padre Island.

Bush talks about helping education and increases mandates while cutting funding.

Bush first says the U.S. won't negotiate with North Korea. Now he will

Bush goes to Bob Jones University. Then say's he shouldn't have.

Bush said he would demand a U.N. Security Council vote on whether to
sanction military action against Iraq. Later Bush announced he would
not call for a vote

Bush said the "mission accomplished" banner was put up by the sailors.
Bush later admits it was his advance team.

Bush was for fingerprinting and photographing Mexicans who enter the
US. Bush after meeting with Pres. Fox, he's against it.

Bush said he would appoint a czar to create manufacturing jobs. He never did it.
Bush was against amnesty for illegal aliens. Now he's for it.

Bush was against Presidents doing an end run around Congress to pack
the courts. Then he did it.

Bush gave million dollar Iraq contracts to Halliburton without making
sure they wouldn't overcharge us. Now he's investigating them for
overcharging.

Bush told people global warming isn't a threat. Now his Defense Dept
says it can end civilization in 25 years.

Bush promised to end the tax cuts after a few years. Then he made them permanent.

Bush said we shouldn't fight two wars at once. Then he sent troops to
Haiti while Americans are dying in Iraq.

Bush was for the rebels in Haiti trying to bring down Aristide. Now
he's fighting the rebels.
Bush is against campaign finance reform; then he's for it.

Bush is against a Homeland Security Department; then he's for it.

MORE EXAMPLES:
He argued a federal Department of Homeland Security wasn't needed,
then devised a plan to create one.

He resisted a commission to investigate Iraq intelligence failures,
but then relented.

He also initially opposed the creation of the independent commission
to examine if the 2001 attacks could have been prevented, before
getting behind the idea under pressure from victims' families.

He opposed, and then supported, a two-month extension of the
commission's work, after the panel said protracted disputes over
access to White House documents left too little time.

He at first said any access to the president by the commission would
be limited to just one hour but relaxed the limit earlier this month.

An interesting project, but of your $3.50 price the Researcher
receives $2.63. That's about 20 cents per flip-flop, a half-cent per
word for 500 words.

Please take a look at the Google Answers pricing guidelines at

I bumped up the price. I agree, it should be a bit more. Wish I could
offer double that but I have been out of work for 14 months.

I'd be happy to get 10-12 examples really.

Dear DonnieDarko:

I see that you are not aware of the diference between Flip-Flop and just Flip.
Lincoln is known to have held, that "he does not give a damn for a man
who is incapable of changing his mind". My most treasured quote from
POTUS Lincoln is: My views shall remain my views only so long as they
appear to be true views, and as soon as new views appear to be truer
views, they shall be my views" not exactly verbatom. The problem
occurs Mr. Darko, when one flips from one thing to another and back to
the same thing, especially for expediency and especially for personal
gain. The practice is or should be most frowned upon when it becomes
a pattern, Mr. Darko.

I recall a saying that reads as follows: Cherrish a thought and it
becomes an act, cherrish an act and it becomes a habbit, cherrish a
habbit and it becomes a characeer, cherrish a character and it becomes
your destiny.

If you are attempting to compare POTUS Bush's flipping from not
wanting to do "Nation Building" to finally being impelled into doing
just that, with Kerry's saying that he does not own any SUV's when he
is with the environmentalists then bragging about his SUV's when he is
in Car-Country, then switching back to not owning any when he is again
amoung the former crowd, then you will only be able to fool yourself
and other shallow thinkers.

Incdentally, here is one flip that you missed: POTUS Bush flipped on
allowing guns in the Cokpit. And am very glad he did. The confoundid
idiots who was advising him would have preferred to have to shoot down
a passenger plane rather than a lesser mishap involving the piolet.
Such fools.
