Question ID: 35632
I purchased a boat second hand. It is an OMC Cadorette which is now
Bombardier. It has an Evinrude 60 HP motor outboard. It is
approximately 16' long and 54" wide. It has a front section for
passengers and to access it one opens the glass dooor. It is center
driven with back to back seats and hence holds 6 people. I would like
to buy a top (roof) not a cover which I have.

I received the following from an e-mail I sent to BoatCoversDirect.com:

"The smallest top that we have is 53" wide (this is a 2 bow top that is 42"
high and is 5'6" long). In the 3 bow tops which most boats take, the
smallest top we have is 54" wide (we can accomodate heights of 36", 46",
54", or 60"). If you will let me know the width of the mounting points that
you need, I will be more than happy to quote you some pricing and options on
Bimini tops."

Yes give me a price on a bimini top 46 X 36H X 6'long. What I really
need is to find the original top that the boat came with, you will not
find the original but one identical.

Hello, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I was away on
a trip. According to the information on
http://www.boatcoversdirect.com, a top looks like it would go for
about $200-$250 dollars, but I'm not a 100% sure on that.

I would recommend calling them at 1-866-626-8377 or e-mailing them at
info@boatcoversdirect.com to recieve a definite answer on the pricing
of a top for your boat.

Thanks for the question!

Is this an option that was available, or
are you considering a custom built one?

If you want a custom built one, there are
many sources that deal with fiberglass
fabrication and general boat building/repair.
Need to know your area to narrow it down.

The boat has all the fitting for a canvass top but the original owner
I suppose decided not to get the top. I am not looking for a bimini
top but could go that way. Along the glass frames and sides of the
boat are snap on fittings to hold a roof that would be made of
poly/cotton, canvass. It is not a rigid roof.Maybe a dealership of OMC
which is Bombardier.
