I need an actual name -- CEO, president, etc -- of someone at
CZPlatinum.com. All I can find is "service@" or a generic aol email
account.

Dear lwlennon,

I have found out that there are various jewelry stores at the same
address, with the same telephone number and even almost identical
websites. Only the names seem to be different. For some of those
websites, I have found the name of the person (always the same person)
in the sales department who registered the web addresses in February
2004 and who is the "administrative contact" for the registered
domains.
Would you accept that name as a valid answer?

Regards,
Scriptor

Hi Scriptor:

Thanks for your help. That is part of the problem... I can't find
anyone who isn't that "administrative" contact either! I looked up
the domain registrations and found the same thing. I do need a name
of a current, active, management member, with their actual managerial
title. Any other thoughts? And again, thank you very much.

There doesn't appear to be much online info on this company, but you
can get some additional iformation the old fashioned way.

CZPlatinum is registered as a business entity with the clerk's office
in Los Angeles County:

http://regrec.co.la.ca.us/clerk/naming.htm

At the above site, you can click on "Click here for AN INTERNET SEARCH
OF A NAME" (about half way down the page) to search on CZPlatinum, and
get its file number.

Further down on the page, you'll find instructions for requesting a
copy of their application form via snail mail:

=====

Detailed searches can be ordered by mailing a written request to:

Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk
Business Filings and Registration Section, Room 2001
12400 Imperial Highway
Norwalk, CA 90650

AND should include the following information:

Name of the business

Address of the business
The search fee is $5 per name. If a search reveals the company name,
the copy fee per page is $1 unless a certified copy is needed and then
the fee is $2 per page. A check or money order payable to the
Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk must accompany the written request and
should also include a stamped self-addressed return envelope. The
search fee is non-refundable. A "No Record Statement" will be issued
if a record is not found.

=====

They should then send you a copy of the form filled in by CZPlatinum
when they first filed. The form looks like this:

http://regrec.co.la.ca.us/general/pdfs/fictbus.pdf

It's not as simple as an online search, but it probably will
(eventually) get you the info you're after.

Let me know how it works out.

pafalafa-ga:

Thank you. That's a wealth of information. I think they are
purposely evasive as their business practices are problematic. I will
pursue the avenues you recommended.
