Hi mikelaunce,

What standard of the NMEA-0183 do you have? Have a look at the
following link, it may help.

The NMEA Serial Data Standard:
NMEA-0183 V. 1.5 mode Standard
NMEA-0183 V. 2.0 mode Standard

You should order the MapPoint 2004 trial available at
http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/2004/trial.mspx. MapPoint has the
same GPS engine as AutoRoute, so you'll be able to see if your GPS
produces the right NMEA sentences for MP/AR. Not knowing which GPS
you have, I can't tell if it would work.
