this info would have to be provided by someone who works for google
conducting a search on the google newsgroup for an ip address

I'm sorry I misinterpreted your question. My assumption was that you
were looking for the identity of the person that might have posted
from that IP address.
Since that is a fixed IP address for a particular website, I thought
the information on the site and the site's owner might be of value to
you. In many instances, a web site is tied to only one email address,
as in the case of my own personal web site. In that instance, this
person would have been the poster.
I now understand that you are really looking for the usernames behind
the postings from this IP address and from your latest comment:

I believe that you may be correct that the only access to that
information in any kind of complete form would be from an
administrator at Google Groups. I have searched postings from the
owner of taxes.com, however, and find that he has posted as
SKasselEA@IrsTaxes.com, skasselea@aol.com and SKasselEA@taxes.com, but
I can not be assured that all of these postings were from that
specific IP address, or that he would be the only poster from that IP
address.
However, he indeed has posted to newsgroups from that IP address. One
example of this is the original header information from this poster
showing one of the above usernames posting from the IP address in
question:

Thank you for the clairification. You are close to answering my
question and are on the right track, but my question has not been
answered. I am not asking for any personal information. I am asking
for the usernames of the google newsgroup that has recieved postings

Your example was right on point "NNTP-Posting-Host: 64.2.40.250
(Steve_Kassel_EA)", but I am looking for all (more than just one) of
the google usernames that used ip address 64.2.40.250.
Example may include bergs_bed_buddy or joe_smuck, etc. Thanks in

Hello donfitchcpa,
As you noted, complete information of this type is probably not
available to anyone outside of staff at Google Groups.
As a new researcher for Google Answers, I was surprised at larre-ga's
comment on restrictions of posting email addresses in answers. I
searched the online documentation for researcher guidelines and could
not find that prohibition. I have emailed Google Groups for
clarification of their policy.
That being said, I think you will find that some of the user names for
postings on Usenet groups will, indeed, be their email address. Since
I can not possibly find ALL of the posters from that IP address and
since I am awaiting clarification of Google Answers policy, I must
refrain from any further research on your question.
I'm truly sorry I could not provide the information you desired.
Perhaps if your question had been phrased that you were seeking ALL
usernames that have ever posted to any newsgroup from that IP address,
this inconvenience could have been avoided for us both. Though I do
accept responsibility for providing a less than complete answer to
your question.
