A few years ago I saw a thin paperback book (from the '60s or '70s?)
with gorgeous photographs of Greek sculpture. I believe the
photographer was a woman, and the book may have been a catalogue of an
exhibition. Is this enough information for anyone to identify the
book? They were beautiful photographs full of light.

Hi viseu,

This is quite a difficult task with so many books on photography of
Greek Sculptures. The closest I could find which fits the criteria you
gave is a book called "Greek Sculpture from the 16th to the 2nd
Century B.C".

Please take a look at this and let me know if it sounds familiar:

Unfortunately there is no cover photograph for you to look at.

Rainbow

Here's another that seems to fit the description:

Light on Stone: Greek Sculpture in the Metropolitan Museum of Art - A
Photographic Essay (Metropolitan Museum of Art Publications)

"In 1999, the Metropolitan Museum?s renowned collection of ancient
Greek sculpture was reinstalled in dramatic new galleries. This book
features specially commissioned photographs of these monumental marble
sculptures in their new setting, which is beautifully enhanced by
natural light."

Thanks for your efforts, rainbow. The Chamoux book could be the one,
though it's by a man and I'm not positive it's it. If you can come up
with any others, let me know. But if another little while searching
doesn't turn anything up, let's consider it the right answer. Thanks.

Hi viseu,

After further searching, I could not locate anything closer than the
books I previously found.

Perhaps you would like to keep this question open longer before we
consider the book I found as the right one. Another researcher may
have better luck finding it.

Best regards,
Rainbow
