This apparently is a somewhat common problem that people have been
having. Fortunately, the fix is simple.

According to Microsoft, "This error can be caused by a missing or
damaged OLEAUT32.DLL file, It can also be caused by problems with the
DLL, not being registered properly in the windows registry."

They recommend closing out of MSN Messenger entirely (right-click on
the icon by your system clock and click "exit", running the update
file located at the URL below, and then rebooting your system.

Thank you for your quick response to my question. The program won't
load at all. I don't even have the MSN icon in the bottom right corner
and it won't load from the progams menu. I've so far removed the
program and downloaded it again but same error message comes up.
Thanks. Kim
