Question ID: 357889
How to printout ICQ "History" file for a user into a text file? I was
trying to do "Copy and Paste", but it seems that the program doesn't
let you select the whole text, instead it lets you select one message
only...

You may need to be more specific about the version of ICQ you are using.

Discussion of the problem

As you can see, getting the history out of ICQ using ICQ itself is
problematic. I beleive this is due ICQ's encryption of your saved
messages. What we can do instead, is use a third-party program to
decipher ICQ's data files.

ICQr Information v1.5

This free program reads ICQ data files. Law enforcement finds it useful.
"You can export the gathered information into a multiplatform HTML
file and save the contact list to a textfile."

Another program to try is the Russian program ICQHR (ICQ History
Reader). This is detected as malware by some software, as it is a
password cracker. It is hacking software, and not to be entirely
trusted (disclaimer disclaimer). This is decidedly "gray-area" stuff
which is probably used for nefarious purposes more often than not.

I would suggest doing these things on behalf of a user, rather than
letting them play with matches.
