According to the Canadian Ski Council, there are approximately
1,096,000 Canadian snowboarders and 658,000 who snowboard exclusively.

1. Market Size of Snowboarders
   2.5% of Canadians 12 years of age and over (658,000) snowboard
exclusively. This    signifies a decrease of 1.4% from the previous
year where there were 766,000 participants.
   An additional 0.8% of Canadians 12 years of age or over (192,000)
snowboard and downhill ski.
   An additional 0.3% of Canadians 12 years of age or over (66,000)
snowboard and cross-country ski.

Note: The following profile includes data on those Canadians who
snowboard    exclusively.

2. Age Profile of Snowboarders
   47.9% (315,000) are 12-17 years-old
   35.7% (235,000) are 18-24 years-old
   9.3% (140,000) are 25-34 years-old
   5.8% (38,000) are 35-49 years-old
   0.2% (1,000) are 50-64 years-old
   1.1% (7,000) are 65 years or older

3. Gender Profile of Snowboarders
   69.4% of snowboarders are male, 30.7% female. Snowboarders are
mostly young,      single, and male.
   82.7% of all snowboarders are single, divorced, separated or
widowed and 17.5% of all snowboarders are married or living together
with a partner.

you answeres all the info I was looking for and then some. You also
provideda ULR which is very useful. I had found the same data but for
2001, this was all for 2003 so I can use it to compare growth and
