I am writing a paper on the nature of art and literature as reaction and I need to
know who is attributed to the quote "all art is a reaction to
something" perhaps it was slightly different wording but I believe it
was very close, I need this urgently, as the paper is due this FRIDAY.

That may have been the quote I was looking for, but Im not entirely
convinced, however unfortunatly the quote you provided does not fit
the theme I was looking for. Which may have been a miscalculation on

It does have the theme of what you're asking.

I could not find the quote on those pages, as another comment said it
may have been one that did not exactly fit my theme, but in any case
the quote you provided by Gaugin works perfectly, and I think i prefer
it to my original anyway. How do i  pay you for answering this? (new
