Question ID: 358518
I would like to know how I can Subpoena the user information that
belongs to an IP address at a given time. I would like an answer that
does not require the services of a legal professional - I need to do
it myself. I need to know the quickest / most efficient way of
completing this task. Please only answer if you can give me an answer
that is specific to the laws and procedures applicable in Australia

I am interesting in gaining (what is usually) privileged data about an
IP address that was given out by an ISP (ie subscriber's name,
address, telephone etc). I am *not* talking about a simple WHOIS
lookup. Instructions for similar legal processes overseas would be
appreciated, but are not essential.
