I'm trying to install nt4 "sp6a" but the service pacvk requires internet connection. I tried right clicking network services, add a service, RAS When NT tries to install RAS it cant find rasconfig.dll I tried a search of my computer and NT install disc but no joy? I'm running Windows NT server |

check for rasconfig.dl_ , which should be in cddrive:\i386... I *think* you would be better to install RAS from Add/Remove Programs (Windows Setup). I'm also surprised that sp6a requires an Internet connection, though. (I'm assuming you've downloaded the self-install? ) http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/SP6/128bitX86/default.asp Click the network download to get the full 34.5MB install that doesn't (shouldn't?) need Internet. |
