I'm trying to find the source of a quote/idea. Unfortunately I can
only remember the general idea, and not the specific words. The gist
of the idea i'm looking for is: wishing you could divide up the years
of your life so that you lived only one year per century. spreading
the years of your life out like this, would would allow you to witness
the progress of human development. for some reason, i thought it was
benjamin franklin who said something along these lines. in any case,
i'm looking for the exact wording and the source of this concept.

Thanks.
