Could you please find an ISBN and/or an authors name for a children's
book entitled "Just a Holler Up the Creek"?
It's about a rough cowboy who comes to this town and challenges
someone to a duel. A little boy challenges him to a hollering contest
instead.I'm pretty sure that's the name of the book but I can't seem to find it.

Hi desmom,

Please let me know if this sounds like the book you are looking for:

"Wally outwits a gang of outlaws and saves the town of Cowlick."

"The Sheriff and his men had gone fishin' up the creek "a holler." But
when the townfolks hollered because Hogbone and his gang came into
town, the Sheriff didn't hear. So they hid. But when Hogbone said he
was lookin' for trouble, Wally crawled out from under the horse trough
and was willin' to oblige, even if he was just a little kid."

Regards,
Rainbow

Hi desmom,

I am confident the book you remember is called The Contests at Cowlick
written by Richard Kennedy.

Review:
"The Contests at cowlick is a very cleverly written book, even adults
still enjoy it. The whole book is written so artfully that it is
easily characterized by the most un-dramatic readers. It is a great
book for both children and adults, it makes for great drama too. Ever
want a skit for kids, thats not a cheesy one, but simple enough that
they can perform it in a little under a month? The contests at cowlick
is a multi-purpose book. I reccomend this book to anyone looking for
great wholesome entertainment."
