Which manufacturers manufactured parts for the Rajay Turbocharger in
the 1960's? I don't want to know who made the turbochargers. I need to
know which companies made the various parts for the turbocharger
specifically the hoses, gaskets and any special linings made to absorb heat. |

Hello thomaswhiteeagle-
Thanks for your question.
Can you tell me which turbocharger you would be referring to? I.e.,
which application -- jeep, tractor, aircraft? Do you have any part
numbers?
Thanks,

Let me clarify more what I seek. I do not have any part numbers for
the turbocharger in question. The Turbocharger I speak of was made for
airplanes and was tested on the Piper apache PA-33 in the 60's and
according to the FAA Original Test Report I have in possession, the
model of the TurboCharger in the report is 315-A10, dated 12-16-1960.
Leroy Cramer was the Chief Foreman/Engineer at that time for Rajay
this was after Rajay moved to Long Beach, CA. Specifically I am trying
to determine and need to know if any of the parts in the TurboCharger
contained Asbestos and if so, who made the part in question at that
time and will pay good money for this information. This is why I am
focusing upon the linings (if any), seals, gaskets and the like. I
have photographs of the original parts sans part numbers. There are a
couple of gaskets and hoses in question and some specific parts that
appear that could contain liners for heat resistance which would
likely contain asbestos but nothing to help me identify mfr's. This is
all I can find, why I am asking for help.

Thomaswhiteeagle --
First, I don't think that this is going to be possible using Internet resources.
However, aircraft parts are manufactured under a Parts Manufacturer
Approval process that should be traceable via Rajay and/or the FAA.
Have you pursued any of those avenues yet?
Best regards,

ty omniverous. Am working on the angle you suggest is time consuming
and am hoping someone here can help and would benefit from the money.
If someone was to accomplish what you suggest I would pay same. The
information needs to be specific to what I need. Maybe no one thruogh
this venue can provide the answers I need but thought I would give the
researchers a shot hey if they can then its a few dollars in their
pocket.
