Greetings, sunofagund!

November2.org is a national advertising campaign for -- not
surprisingly -- registering and getting out the vote on November 2.

The campaign is sponsored by National Voice:
"... a coalition of non-profit and community groups working to
maximize public participation in our nation's democratic process."
http://www.nationalvoice.org/about/index.html

You can see a list of the National Voice sponsoring institutions here:
http://www.nationalvoice.org/about/founders.html

Currently, they have a bus touring the United States, and you happened
to be lucky enough to see it!

The campaign for National Voice is being managed by high-profile ad
agency Wieden & Kennedy:
224 NW 13th Ave.
Portland, OR 97209
Phone: 503-937-7000
Fax: 503-937-8000

Search Strategy

I looked up the owner of the "www.november2.org" domain at
http://www.betterwhois.com
which yielded the following information:
"Registrant Name:Wieden & Kenendy 12
 Registrant Organization:Wieden & Kenendy 12
 Registrant Street1:224 NW 13th Ave
 Registrant City:Portland
 Registrant State/Province:OR
 Registrant Postal Code:97209
 Registrant Country:US
 Registrant Phone:+1.5039377000"
http://www.betterwhois.com/bwhois.cgi?domain=november2.org&x=31&y=20

A Google search on Wieden & Kenendy yielded no results; however,
"Kenendy" looked suspiciously to me like it should be "Kennedy", and a
search on Wieden & Kennedy hit paydirt:

I left a message on Friday, and a representative from Wieden & Kennedy
was kind enough to return my call. She told me that the November2
campaign website went live on Friday (June 11, 2004). At that time, it
merely showed a place marker and provided the opportunity to submit
your e-mail address for e-mail updates on the campaign. Today, however
(Monday, June 14), the website shows

"Set the alarm early and loud
Wake the nation
Fill the car with neighbors
Drive to the polls
This is it
Now is here
We decide
Get ready to sing"

and the option to enter the website where you can register to vote,
join the National Voice organization, order a "November 2" t-shirt,
and see the map of the tour bus' route, with the text:
"This site is sponsored by National Voice, a coalition of
organizations and human beings who believe in the power of democracy
and the wisdom of the American people."

My guess is that this site is gearing up for some sort of political
activity, since the next President of the United States will be chosen
by voters on November 2, 2004.

The site belongs to an advertisment agency, Wieden & Kennedy
<htp://www.wk.com/>. The agency operates in New York and Portland (OR)
and has several high profile clients, such as Coca Cola and Nike.

It must be some kind of get out the vote campaign. Looks Cool!
