Hello:  I am looking for a dollmaker (doll artist) named Jan Farley. 
She makes all cloth dolls with bodies that are stiffened with  paint. 
She paints the facial features and paints the hair.  The faces are
3-dimensional.  They have applied cloth ears.  They are one-of-a-kind.
In the past, she has been listed in ebay.   Please help me find this

Please double check to make sure you have spelled this lady's name
correctly. It's odd that nothing comes up for her in search engine
searches since there should be published information available.  How
did you find out about her, and have you checked with local crafts
stores/dollmakers in your area who might be able to help?

Does this person sometimes make beautiful-but expensive-Santas around
Xmas time? I saw some in Minneapolis at an upscale shop and they were
really something. It spoiled me forever from buying one of the cheap
Santa dolls. I remember at the time one of the Santas was for sale in
an art store. They said that the women who made them lived in
Michigan.
The face was a very fine linen-that was painted and made to look
antique. The details were incredible with a bag containing antique
like toys. I bet it is the same. Try somewhere in Michigan. I know it
isn't much, but it could help you narrow it down some-good luck and
let us know what happens!
