my pc was attacked by a virus called trojan horse a few days ago. My norton antivirus did not pick it up and they told me it needed to be deleted because it could not be repaired. I deleted it. what happens is that I cannot set my home page to be what I want. It automatically defaults to a non-descript home page, that has no identifying info on it. I also have spyware and popup software on my system but I'm still suspicious of this home page. How could I remedy this? the original virus was installed as "C:\program files\apo.htm\trojan horse". | |

Scan your computer to make sure it is virus free: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp Scan your computer to make sure it is spyware free: I personnaly prefer spybot S&D @ http://www.zone-x.com/spybot.php After both are done, and your system is clean, you *should* be able to change your homepage. |

open the registry using the command "regedit" and the open the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices and check whether the site is there in the registry entry. If the entry is there then remove the entry from the registry. Gourav Jain |
