I would like to have the history on the community of Duncan Island,
located on the Siuslaw River, approximately 5-miles or so west of
Mapleton, Oregon, 97453, and about 2-miles east of Cushman. At
present, there are about a dozen residents. The small Island is
surrounded by the Siuslaw and the Duncan Slough (a.k.a. Duncan Inlet).
