It is often desirable to save a web page in htm form so it can be
printed or viewed if later needed. But this involves allocaing about
32 kbyte disk space for the htm file and each of the about 20 small
files in the accompanying directory. I have seen a program selling fo
abour $30.00 with 15 days free usage and a picture of a dog which does
this much more efficiently, but I cannot recall its name or where to
find it. Does anybody know about it?

P.S. I am not familiar with large disk support and it is too time
consuming to convert to it and learn using it .

Thank you,neopariah-ga, for your suggestion to using Web Archive, single
file instead of HTM files. It saves fine, but I have trouble
retrieving it. It retrieved fine before today and sometimes today but
it is erratic and sometimes cannot be retrieved although it is there
as evidenced by the DOS directory.
Could you let me know what the right procedure for retrieving is?
Maybe the web has updated Internet explorer without my knowledge?
While your comment is a comment I will consider it an answer if can
advise me how to retrieve mht files.

You can also get a pdf printer like at www.pdf995.com to print the web
page for posterity (I do this a lot for online receipts). It's free
with a nag screen or $9.95 to remove nag.

If you're using Internet Explorer, you can also save the page as a Web
Archive, which is just one file. You just save the page as you
normally would (using File>Save), but change "Save as Type" to "Web
Archive, single file".

But, it sounds like you have something a bit more specific in mind.
You may want to try rephrasing your question.
