What are the main stages in the evolution of portraiture from the time
of Paolo Veneziano to the great artists of the 16th century (Titian,
Tintoretto, Veronese). When discussing these stages, please cite
specific examples. Especially helpful if you would discuss
contributions of the Bellinis, Carpaccio, Giotto and Giorgione.
Thanks!
