Question ID: 360916
I need a list of small cities/towns (with a population under 75,000)
in the eastern half of the United States (from Texas up to the
Dakotas, then east) with the fields of information on each area being
the City and State name, the population of the city, the median
income, the unemployment rate, and the distance (in miles) to the
nearest metropolis or city with a population of over 100,000.

If the list could be sorted by population that would be great and the
more cities the better. I will give a $10 tip for a list of over 200
cities, a $15 tip for more than 350, and a $20 tip for over 500
cities. If your focus pushes you toward a particular area, please make
it the SouthEast.

Dear allthequestions,

I can provide you with an excellent resource that lists U.S. towns and
cities with all the information you are requesting and more.

This is a free resource and I will explain how it works.

By clicking on the name of the State you will obtain a list of cities
and towns with populations of over 6000 residents. You will see the
population of each city next to the name of the city.

By clicking on the name of the city you will obtain the median
household income, percentage of unemployment and nearest metropolis.

Other information that is provided is for each city:
- Demographics
- Median house value
- Crime data
- Climate
- Airports
- Medical centers
- Universities.
- Location on a map

This resource could provide you with information for a great deal more
than just 500 cities.

For Alabama there is a list of 85 cities with a population of more
than 6,000 and less than 75,000 people.

For Florida there is a list of over 350 cities with a population of
more than 6,000 and less than 75,000 people.

Would a link to this resource be an adequate answer to your question?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Providing me with the link would be fine. As long as the information
on the site is easy to access, I have absolutely no problem with you
providing me with the link to your resource.

The website that I mentioned is City-data.com

City-data provides profiles of thousands of U.S. cities with thousands
of pictures, maps, satellite photos, stats about residents (race,
income, ancestries, education, employment...), geographical data,
crime data, weather, hospitals, schools, libraries, airports, radio
and TV stations, zip codes, area codes, user-submitted facts, similar
cities list, comparisons to averages.
http://www.city-data.com/

There are 37 States in the eastern half of the United States from
Texas up to the Dakotas, then east.

Below you will find the direct link to the list of list of cities and
towns with populations of over 6000 residents for each state of the 37
states in the eastern half of the U.S. You will see the population of
each city next to the name of the city.

The information on the site is easy to access, although a bit time
consuming. Click on the name of the city of your interest to obtain
the data you require.

While waiting for your clarification I assembled the data for 6 cities
for each of the first 16 states. Total cities = 96
