Question ID: 360949
i am trying to find out the name of an old black and white movie that
i enjoyed as a child. it is not a chirldren's movie... in the
premise there is something about a phosphorous substance that made
things glow in the dark. i remember particularly a glow-in-the-dark
dog. also, there is a little rhyming song throughout the movie that
starts "on horse flies and in combs beeses..." the next couple lines
are about a lock and key i believe. and the song is in reference to a
locked chest, maybe? i would appreciate any information about the
movie or the song. thank you.

Hello.

You're movie is "Murder He Says" (1945)

See Google Groups:

" but turned out to be "On horse flies
> is, on comb bees is, on chest knob is, in knob keys is" - the keys being
> the vital clue to the whole thing.
...
That's MURDER HE SAYS (Paramount 1945) starring Fred MacMurray.
... (Not to give the plot away, Granny and the resident hound
dog glow in the dark.)"
