Use any one of the various free file sharing programs such as limewire. Download here http://download.com.com/3001-2166-10292553.html download, install, and use. The program is self-explanatory/inutitive. |

There are some excellent file-sharing programs out there. But it's difficult to know which one to use. I'd suggest going to a couple of sites that offer reviews of the different programs. http://www.slyck.com and http://www.zeropaid.com cover the file sharing beat with news, reviews and how-to's. Part of your decision should also be based on what kind of music you're into. The latest hits? I'd suggest one of the more popular programs like kazaa or directconnect. More unusual music - I'd suggest Soulseek. |

The best site for free and legal music downloads is www.MPFree.com. They have more than 500,000 free, legal tracks from all the major labels. No credit card required and nothing to buy. Check it out: http://www.MPFree.com |

Ok, dont use a P2P for music. The RIAA(Rercording Industry Artists of America) is taking extensive note of who uses them and how often. Due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 1998, P2P is now a gray area and is often considered illegal. I use some websites for my music such as www.yourmp3.net and www.emp3world.com for my music. You also can buy your music through musicmatch or windows media. I do not reccomend itunes because if you ever want to transfer the music you purchased to a non-apple mp3 player it will not work. I personally use musicmatch for my purchases of music because of their extensive library of music. If you were familiar with napster you can still use them but they are legit now and charge a monthy fee for access to their library of music. Hope this helps. I know that it bites having to pay for music now but what do you expect with egotistical artists heading the RIAA. You can also check the artist's website, many of them have some of their more popular songs on there for free legit downloading. |
