Dear googoo1,

Evemarie-ga is, alas, not a Google Answers Researcher. She is a
customer, so there is no way to contact her, I'm afraid.

The previous "case" information (the first one that was opened re: the
name MAYHUT) ended with a comment from Evamarie-ga....Evamarie gave
the derivation of the name Mayhut and the states where the family
lived....could you please add that comment to the list of information
in the newest "search".......I tried to locate the OLD and First case
notes and now I cannot bring that information "up" on my
computer........it was the VERY LAST COMMENT, on the FIRST attempt to
find the derivation of the name "MAYHUT" If Evamarie is not a
researcher and is a customer then how did she know about my further
inquiry about her grandfather and the type of work that he did for
NASA?

Hello there,

I've been following the saga of the MAYHUT questions for a while, and
even offered a bit of information on the very first question on this
name.

I've done a bit more digging around, and just wanted to let you know
what I've found. It may help you, evemarie-ga, or another researcher
in this quest:

The 1910 Census lists three Mayhuts:

MAYHUT ELUED 19 M W CANADA NH HILLSBOROUGH MANCHESTER 1910

       MAYHUT JAMES S 38 M W WV PA BEAVER NEW BRIGHTON 1910

MAYHUT STEPHEN 42 M W HUNGARY NJ MORRIS ROCKAWAY TWP 1910

My Grandfather John T Mayhut worked at NASA as an engineer in the
1960's. I do not know the particulars. He also worked in Iran as an
engineer for an oil company at one point. He was a World War II
veteran. He was in the Navy, I was told that he worked on a mine
sweeper clearing the Sea of Japan. He and my grandmother had six
children. Two sons and four daughters. .

My garndparents had six children, 12 grand children and 14 (most likly
more) greatgrand children. The number keeps going up. I cant keep
track of all of us. Most all the offspring live in Florida. I and my
sister are the only two grandchildren that live out of Florida that I
know of. We are the mother's of 7 of the greatgrand children.
