I'm currently not a US citizen, i don't have any particular legal
documents such as green card or social security. I came to united
states about 3 years ago. my intention to come here is to get a better
seducation and have a brighter future as i can't see that in my
country. it's been a struggle for many years, and i don't want to let
this go.
I came here with a tourist status. and its allowance to let me stay
here has expired. so i'm the one who you want to call a illegal
aliens. but i still do have my visa, it wouldn't expired until next
year.
I attended one of the high school at maryland, and I graduate with
satisfactory grades. by the time i need to figure what colleges that i
need to attend, i heard this bad news for the kind of people like me.
Montgomery College was my first choice, but they really did turn me
down because they would not enroll any individuals who don't have a
legals papers.
United States is the place i want to live now. everything is just felt
so right for me. i live here with my mom and my sister. we both have
been working with a immigration lawyer here to work on my status. my
mom did receive her greencard couple weeks ago, so did my sister. the
reason why i didn't get one is because i'm over the age of 18. how the
sponsorship work is that i should wait for couple years until i can
get my greencard. but i couldn't wait that long, i don't want to waste
any years in which i could use them for colleges year.
talking about the student visa, i really don't know if i should
consider them or not. people said it would be risky if i should do
them.
so the big question is; what are my possible choices of colleges that
i'm able to attend before i could get my greencard. my location is on
the area of rockville, maryland. a helpful answer would greatly
appreciated, and the future of pursuing a better opportunities are so
important to me.
,thanks. |
