I have been staying with some friends in the UK, a house of 5 english
and scottish lads in their 20's.
Now that I am leaving I want to get them a thankyou present for their
house - something cool and useful, up to a max of say £50 (about 100
USD). I can't believe I can't think of anything off the top of my head
and I'm in a real hurry!
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

As someone who used to live as one of five englsih and scottish guys,
if you but them anything really nice it will probably end up getting
broken, so the best thing will probably be a really nice bottle of
something they can drink to remeber you by when drinking...

Does the UK have an equivalent to Clubs of America? If so, you could
sign your friends up to receive a new treat every month (beer, wine,
pizza, chocolate, coffee...). If not, perhaps the local pizza parlor
would be willing to do it for you.

Since eventually each of these gentlemen will go their own way, one
item isn't logical, but what if you got them a nice large matching set
of beer mugs perhaps engraved with their names or nicknames, add a
date and it's now a nice keepsake.
