Looking for a particular book of answers. I had it back in the mid
80's, it's cover was light blue and the questions were divided by
category i.e. history, science, health etc. It had funny
illustrations as well. The book was very thick, about the size of a
telephone book. Can't remember the title, but it was something like
the "Book of Answers or Book of Questions." |

This is just a shot in the dark, but how about "The Colossal Book of
Questions & Answers"?
There were editions in 1984 and 1986. Here's a photo of the '86 edition on eBay:

Nope, that's not it. The book I'm thinking about had illustrations in
it that were somewhat comical - I think the book was geared more
toward children and it was a bit light-hearted. Sample questions were
things such as, who really invented pizza, why does the leaning tower
of pisa lean, etc.

No, that's not it. The book is black and white, and each questions takes up 1 page.

Hi lunelektra,
Here's my contribution - the questions sound about right but I've been
unable to find out if it was published before 1990, nor have I been
able to find an image of it.

humorous questions asked over a 20-year period? Find the answers,
organize them into 27 subject areas, compile a 1300-term index, and
publish it all in a book, of course. The result has enough whos,
whens, wheres, whats, and whys to drive even the most dedicated trivia
buff mad."
