Question ID: 363077
I am an airplane pilot. I would like to listen to my Ipod while I fly.
I need to find a converter that would allow me to plug the Ipod into
the headset and then have the cord continue to the airplane. The
headset is a David Clark H20-10
(http://www.sportys.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&did=19&product_id=1423) and
the Ipods jack is a standard headphone style. If you need more
information I will try and help out.

Serovaj --

Assuming that you fly the same plane routinely, why not use the
intercom system? I've flown several Mooneys with a variety of
intercoms and each had a jack to allow connection of an MP3 or CD
player. The advantages of this solution:
* automatic muting should ATC desire to talk with you
* access to music for all passengers
* the ability to use noise-cancelling and other headsets (which
normally don't have the subminiature RCA connectors available)

Best regards,

Yes that is a nice feature on Mooneys. Unfortunately my airplane has
no such thing. Its a two seater Cessna 152 with limited intercom
capabilities. Basically its the headset, the cord, two plugs (one for
pilot, one for co-pilot), and thats about it.

I have heard of this product from fellow pilots, but unfortunately no
one can remember the exact name of it right now. I searched Sportys,
but I dont know if what they have is exactly the right thing.
