Hi! Thanks for the question. Here is the list of companies that provide online check processing services. I will also take you to the list the companies that subscribe or are customers by such e-check companies. Such a list will be like the ones available at Paypal. I will give you the link to the list of their clients or client testimonials if a traditional list is not available. Please note that I will only include here companies that have made available their customer lists or testimonials. I am not a Google Answers Researcher. I am familiar with the consumer end of electronic checking. As a consumer, I can write an e-check to any recipient, including you. I don't know what happens after I write it, but I know that the recipient receives either a transfer of funds or a physical check ... The method is invisible to me and may have a little to do with the recipient (A call from my bank to you asking how you would like to receive payment). I've been in very few businesses that have actually handled inbound electronic checking, as handled from the recipient end. Yes, Paypal and Bidpay are exceptions to the rule. IMHO, though, they are merely conduits for all types of transactions, allowing a bit of anonymity, security, and privacy with regard to the payment method. Receiving payment via Paypal, I really only know that the money's been transferred to me. If you're asking a question similar to those TV ads -- "Have your checking account ready, we'll take your payment by check over the phone." -- That might be a clarification a researcher might ask. The key is, I as a consumer make electronic checks to my utilities, debtors, credit card companies, etc. through my bank/Microsoft Money. And the recipients don't handle the transaction any more than marking the money as arrived in on that account. But, on the other hand, why not accept PayPal or Bidpay? |
