I have a question about something that frightens me about myself. I
have this "fetish" of women turning into animals. I like the process
of the woman turning into the animal. There is stuff on the internet
made by people who also like this which is basically porn to me but
worse, since its a creative stimulation as well. I need answers, it
frightens me. Why do I have this fetish? What does it say about me?
And how can I deal with it? (I don't look at porn or masturbate just
fyi)

Hello Furryguy-ga,

First of all, let me reassure you there is nothing wrong with you.
Fetishes are a normal part of everyone's everyday life. As long as
your fetish harms no one, no one can tell you what is right or wrong.
Society has a tendancy to place stigma on certain things, more often
then not because it's not understood, however, that does not make it
wrong.

How you deal with this fetish is up to you. I reccomed going to see a
sex therapist, not becase anything is wrong, but to have someone help
you to process your feelings and help you to come to terms with your
desires.

That is a link to some very helpful information on sex therapy.

If this answer requires further explanation, please request
clarification before rating it, and I'll be happy to look into this
further.

are you referring to ponyplay (http://www.deviantdesires.com/map/ponyplay.html)
or furverts (http://www.deviantdesires.com/map/furverts.html) ?

Maybe this map will allow you to map your desires

(Note , none of the webpages involved show any pornographic material)

this are the kinds of stories I'd like probabley... its a web site
that lets you choose what happens next.

I don't think I was ether furvert or pony play, closer to furvert, but
I'm not really into furrys I'm more into the change into them.

Here is a drawn example of what I like (not saying I like this one persay)

By the way I don't look at this stuff. And this is not nearly the
only way I'm turned on, its just this weird thing I have that I'd like
to understand it better.

Oh man, I'm a GIRL and I am turned on by that. In fact, one of my best
guy friends is too. We think it stems from reading to many comic books
as kids, or maybe some weird, evolutional unconscious mind thing. But
don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you, I know of at least 5
other people who think that's sexy sexy too.

Fetishes are very common these days, but many people choose to keep it
private for many different reasons. If you have a partner who also
enjoys many of the same fetishes, and you both respect each other,
then that's definitely healthy (some of the best marriages involve a
master/slave scenario which appears extremely abusive to outsiders who
don't understand consentual role playing).

What interests me is that you seem to think there's something wrong
with having such a fetish. Obviously, getting whiskers attached to
your cheeks will likely limit your career options, but there may also
be positives (from your perspective) that aren't immediately obvious
to many (such as myself).

This question is only for furryguy-ga (others, if you must, please
don't answer until he has had a chance to): If you had to come up
with one or more reasons why such a fetish was wrong, what do you
think these would be? Please take your time with this, but don't
respond with "I don't know" as your answer -- it is your truthful
perspective here that's most important in determining my next response
(even though you're anonymous), and no matter how silly you may think
the reason I will respect it (what I know of the kinky/fetish industry
is that people seem to be the most accepting of each other compared to
other cultures/groups/so-called-norms throughout the world).

I look forward to your response in the hopes that I can help you to
realize some needed clarity.

ramblingdiatribe,

The reason I feel that it is wrong is that it just feels wrong. It
seems wrong to be turned on by something that seems so violent. I
guess it just feels wrong, because it seems like I'm not pleased with
the way women look so I have to change them? Even though thats not
really whats it about... I also worry that its about power, but I know
thats not the case either. So in all I guess it feels wrong because I
worry that those things might be true. I hope that made sense. Thank
you for the help.

Oh and shakeupsnow02 thank you for your response as well. It did make
me feel better, and I'm sorry I didn't post a comment saying so.
