Looking for one of these for sale.  More than likely in scrap or
recycling, best luck on forums and mailing lists.  The machine is a
large mainframe style server circa 1995.  Goes by SparcCenter 2000E or
SC2000E.

Ebay rarely has auctions relating to these, and most often they are
worthless.  Very very difficult to find.

What components are you looking for in this machine? How many CPUs,
how much memory, etc.? It is a hard-to-find item, as you say.

Processor Magazine (and now the web site) has long been the primary
source for the big iron and for used and refurb brand name computer
parts. If you're looking for just parts rather than the whole systems,
they have an excellent search engine. I don't know if the site
contains all of the hardware that the magazine lists, you might want
to pick up a hard copy.

Inmartech lists two similar configurations, makes me wonder if they're
the same boxes:

there are some I/O CPU boards available on ebay, but no full systems

I'd do a search on ebay, and save it, you'll get an email everytime
something mentioning the system your looking for is posted.  sorry I'm
of no further help.
