I am about to write a communication to The Supreme Pontiff (pope John

By the appropriate format I mean say if I start my communication as

To,
His Holiness The Supreme Pontiff,
Pope John Paul 2

Subject : *************************

Body of the mail.

(Ending) ?????

What do you place in here which would be the correct form for closing
the communication ?

I would be glad to get the most appropriate format for communication
from start of the communication to the end.

Hello Choudhary

As you have already indicated there are correct and incorrect ways to
address the Pope in a letter.

The envelope or letter address should be:

"His Holiness, Pope John Paul II" or "His Holiness, the Pope"

The appropriate start is:

"Your Holiness" or "Most Holy Father"

The ending of the letter is somewhat less strict and depends largely
on the content of the letter. A simple "Yours" or "Respectfully
yours" is perfectly acceptable as is something more religious or
simply your signature.

On searching the internet I have found many open letters to the Pope,
here are a selection of endings in the letters:

"Respectfully yours in Christ"
"Yours, in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary"
"With hope"
"For the love of God"
