No one seems to be answering my previous question on corporate charity
(posted under Business and Money), so I'll try broadening it.
Can you find me some general information sources on corporate
donations to charitable causes? I'm looking for any information that
would help a company which is planning on making grants, but hasn't
yet decided the details of who to give the money to or how to go about
giving it. I'm looking specifically for information focused on the
needs of corporate rather than individual donors.

Here's a link to a brief overview of corporate giving programs:

http://www.minnesotagiving.org/options/corporate.htm

where they discuss not only WHY to give, but some of the mechanics of
what types of giving options exist, and the types of resources
available.

Please have a look at this material, and then let us know which areas,
in particular, you would like additional information on. The more you
can focus your question, the better the researchers here will be able
to assist you.

Thanks.

Respectfully, this is something that you might ask your tax
accountant, (and if you don't have an accountant, how do you possibly
have money to donate :), as the disclaimer below states:

The general answer might be the same ways you deal with a vendor. Only
in addition to Dun and Bradstreet and Better Business Bureau lookups,
you'll also want to verify the recipient is a 501 3(c) Non Profit.
