Question ID: 363456
What is "S!PWMx2 technology" as advertised in Artec Usa's Combo Drive
(BKM-52X16C)? I have been unable to find any information relating to
this "technology" other than seeing its use in marketing. I would
really like to see a technical paper on this technology if one exists.
You may find Artec USA's website at http://artecusa.com/.

This is mostly speculation but...

http://www.solorb.com/elect/solarcirc/pwm1/

...describes a pulse width modulator (PWM) as a device used in 12V or
24V systems to control DC devices which draw up to a few amps of
current.

I'm guessing that S!PWMx2 stands for something like "Silent! Pulse
Width Modulator version 2".

This makes sense (at least to me) because looking at this page...

http://www.solorb.com/elect/solarcirc/pwm1/

...describes S!PWMx2 as "Silent Technology" (2nd to last line in
product information).

I believe the name S!PWMx2 is just a tradename used by Artec. This page...

http://www.rohm.com/products/news/03opt/bd7905bfs.html

...describes silent PWM technology as implemented by another company.
