"There are an estimated 250,000 Liberians in the United States. Some
give a much higher number while others give a lower figure; the
discrepancies are due largely to the number of Liberians who are
United States citizens. The Liberian and United States government do
not recognize dual citizenship. Hence, a Liberian with a United States
passport even if he or she claims Liberian citizenship is not
considered Liberian by either government. Liberians are found in large
numbers in Atlanta, New York-Newark area, Oklahoma, Washington, DC,
Detroit, Toledo, Boston, Providence, Philadelphia and Minneapolis..."
