Greetings,
I am using win xp . I believe I had a virus and removed it but found
that it has kept some JPEG pictures from opening. I can go to my
pictures and in some folders the JPEG's will open and in other it will
list all the JPEG pictures with titles but, you can't open them to
view. All you see is the blue JPEG picture with the title below.

thanks

Hi 1tim,
Probably your system seems to be infected with Win32/Perrun.
There is a articel which you can read to see what all you can do.
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32perruna.html
It also expalins how to edit registry keys as well ,coz sometimes
viruses do effect the registry keys.
Thanks.

Hi tim...

I had a similar but not identical problem a few weeks ago. My pics
were not uploading as Jpeg anymore and instead showed as BMP files. I
even asked a question on here about it and pinkfreud advised me to
delete my temporary files and cookies. It worked for me!!
Can't hurt to try it.
