I took my kids to see Ronald Reagan lying in state; no electronic
devices were allowed inside, but there was a continous video feed you
could watch on TV. I would like to be able to purchase a video for the
time period that we saw the President so that my children would have a
record of the event. Where can I buy a video with the timeperiod that
we walked through. I assume they would have all time period and we
would just time them them time we came through. Thanks. RAP

I see the CNN tapes, but that has just some of the time from the lying
in state in teh rotunda. I want the specific time that I went through
so that I can have the video of my sons. I would be to accept a
superset of time, as long as I have the footage of us walking through.

Without actually seeing the videos and identifying yourself, you have
no way of knowing of course if your family is on them. However the
advertisement says this about the lying in state period:

" Lying in State BEGINS in Rotunda of U.S. Capitol for public to pay
respects AND CONTINES THROUGH THE NIGHT "

Clearly then, the ENTIRE lying in state period (from beginning to end)
is on these tapes and if you walked by the casket then it is more
likley that your family appears on this tape than ANY other tape
commercially in existence (assuming there is another one, which is
highly unlikley).

That video feed you are talking about was played live on CSPAN for the
entire 24 hours. I believe the film, if there is one, is theirs. You
might try contacting them to see if you can get a copy of the coverage
but I sincerely doubt that they'll edit one out for you to include
only the few minutes you are looking for.

I've tried contacting them to no avail. 
I don't need a few minutes. I would take an hour to two hour block.

The Lying in State Videos from CNN do not include the entire feed from
the time period just excerpts.
I want a specific period from the feed.

I beg to differ, but my understanding is that the video I directed you
to DOES include THE ENTIRE lying in state period.

CSPAN will begin marketing it's version of the event (a compilation of
events aired on CSPAN) on July 20, 2004
