I'm looking for some public domain images to spice up
http://www.authorama.com , which I'm in the process of redesigning.
Please check some book pages you like and if you know
free-of-copyright (old) images* which fit the book please answer.

*The image must be available online and I need the direct URL, if you
want to along with the source page. Please include the artist, title
and other info you have.
There are two types of images I use on Authorama, on the one hand images on all
pages of a book (e.g. an author's portrait) and the other are inline
illustrations, like for Alice in Wonderland or Goethe's Werther.
