I'm using a Powerbook G4 with OSX. I've created a video project in
i-movie. It is 2 hours and 27 minutes long and I think it is 32
gigabytes in size (most of it is straight video imported from dvc- the
rest is a few pictures, titles and transitions). I'd like to fit it
all on 1 dvd even though I know
I'd lose some quality. The most important thing is that it plays on
regular dvd players (not computers). I'm confused about quicktime
options because it seems I can't play quicktime files on a regular dvd
player.
not sure if it helps but I also have these programs on my computer
which might present me with other options: idvd, dvd studio pro,
final cut express and final cut pro
please if you need clarification to answer, just ask:)

If you want any movies to play on a regular DVD player you will need
to convert your movie to Mpeg2 and then author it to a DVD disk

Corwin02- thanks for that info- learn something new everyday! I'm
curious- do you know if exporting to mpeg2 is a form of compression?

It is a form of compression and all DVD burn programs do it on the fly
while burning your DVD , unfortunately i do not have much experience
with Mac software so I will give you a few links to DVD burn programs
and leave it up to you to test them and see if they fit your needs
